GLLLP was recently retained to represent David Drimer, the former Executive Director of the Zionist Organization of America, in his lawsuit against the ZOA. The case, which is pending the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County, raises the critically important issue of a whistleblower’s right to bring of a private right of action to redress misconduct doing harm to a not-for-profit organization such as the ZOA. The Complaint details multiple acts of self-dealing, breaches of fiduciary duty, and mismanagement and seeks not only compensation for the unlawful retaliation Mr. Drimer suffered when he sought to expose these issues but also the removal of the current National President of the Board of Directors of the ZOA and two other Board members. The case is pending before the Honorable Arthur F. Engoron and is identified as New York County Index No. 652618/2018.
